Irish pop rock trio The Script today announced an Asia leg of Freedom Child Tour, which they’re bringing to Singapore, Manila, and Bangkok next year.

The Asia trek kicks off in Singapore on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Singapore Indoor Stadium. Tickets are on sale via Sports Hub Tix, going from SGD98-278.

The Manila show is happening on Saturday, April 14 at the Mall of Asia Arena. Tickets range from PHP1,000 for General Admission to PHP12,000 for the VIP Experience Package, which includes exclusive merchandise items and a signed tour programme. Purchase yours through SM Tickets channels starting November 7.

The Script will stop by Taipei and Hong Kong before wrapping up the tour in Bangkok on Saturday, April 28 at Impact Arena Muang Thong Thani. Tickets, priced at THB2,000 / 2,500 / 3,500 / 4,000 and 5,500 (VIP), going on sale January 27 via Thai Ticket Major channels. The VIP package includes one seated/standing ticket, an exclusive 2018 tour gift, a tour tote bag, an autographed tour programme, and a commemorative VIP laminate and custom lanyard.

The tour comes in support of the Brit Awards-nominated band’s fifth studio album, Freedom Child, which was released in September. It marks their first visit to Southeast Asia since 2015’s No Sound Without Silence Tour.

Formed in 2005 by Danny O’Donoghue, Mark Sheehan and Glen Power, The Script shot to popularity with 2008’s self-titled debut album which features worldwide hits “Breakeven” and “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved”. They’re also known for For the First Time”, “Nothing”, “Hall of Fame”, “Superheroes” and “Rain”.

 


Update (Dec 13): The Script have added Jakarta to the Asia tour, with plans to perform on Tuesday, April 10 at The Kasablanka Hall.
