Keeping the spirit of the electronic music scene alive during these trying times, Nicole Modauber has enlisted the help of legendary Miami club doorman Alan T to deliver her new EP, The Volume.
Techno DJ Nicole Modauber’s The Volume EP has been described as her most important release of her career, representing some of her most liberally untethered work to date. The two-track EP is available now via her own MOOD Records.
The title track displays the Lebanese-British producer’s mastery of house music as she lays groove-induced percussive elements. Alan T’s vocals helps evoke an airy soundscape that leads listeners for a euphoric club experience in their own home.
In addition, the official music video dropped this past Friday.
The EP’s B-side ‘The Music Is Mine’ is just intricate with its sound design elements with pulsating kicks and both Alan T and Nicole’s vocal chops.
Alan T, a close friend of Modauber and a legendary doorman for Miami’s Club Space venue, is a key ambassador for the underground scene in Miami. He met the renowned techno legend at the Winter Music Conference in the early 2000’s.
Modauber exclaims,
ย “Alan IS Miami, basically. People would go to Club Space just to see him.“
Nicole Modauber recently released an In The MOOD Radio mix dedicated to International Women’s Day. The special episode features remixes from Sevdaliza, Rosalia, THSA, Logic1000, Lauren Flaz, ANZ, and Peaches.
She is currently planning to host a special livestream in celebration of her award-winning radio show’s 7th anniversary.
