The San Francisco-based electronic music label will be launching a never-ending virtual nightclub in the Metaverse.

Named after famous Berlin nightclub Berghain, Birdhain will take at the label’s Birdyverse virtual island and will include several spaces such as a festival area and virtual bar. There will also be an art exhibition as well as games for attendees like Capture The Flag.

At Birdhain, the virtual festival is said to feature DJ sets running every day from the likes of labelmates Nikki Nair, Justing Jay, Mz Worthy, Catz ‘n Dogz, and founder Claude VonStroke. Users can also roam around and chat with other attendees.

Apparently, access to the festival will be exclusive. People can only attend if they own one of the label’s Dirtybird Flight Club NFTs created by digital artist Birdcap. However, those who don’t own any of said NFTs can wander about the island but will have limited access.

The idea first came about during the easing of COVID-19 lockdown restrictions when labelhead Claude VonStroke wanted to a new way to interact with ravers.
