Underground Gen-Z avant-gardist SnailGod unleashes futuristic hyperpop-rap song ‘Chakra Pump’ as a preview to his upcoming five-track EP to be released later this year.

SnailGod has dropped ‘Chakra Pump’, a hyperpop single that teases fans what to expect in the later part of 2022 when he’s scheduled to release his five-track EP.

The title makes reference to his recent interest in Kundalini Chakras and sets out to portray SnailGod’s persona of “the wild party god who has fun and lives life to the fullest.”

Crafted in a self-owned studio, the Bruneian’s latest song employs industrial elements such as distortion and vocal manipulation, complemented with his unique flow and rhythm.

The 23-year-old says,

“I want people to have this reaction of like: ‘What the heck was that? I’ve never heard something like that before. I don’t know if I like it or not.

I want people to question the lyrics, and also how I’m feeling. I want them to ask themselves why would SnailGod want to make something like this?

‘Chakra Pump’ also has an accompanying music video to be released this Friday (July 15). The MV is crafted with the intent of effecting ‘control confusion’ on its viewers.

SnailGod has accumulated over 60,000 streams on Spotify alone since releasing his debut single God Complex in 2019.

He is inspired by artists such as Death Grips, JPEGMAFIA, Ecco2k, ARCA, Danny Brown, Serj Tankian and many more. SnailGod also works with visual artists from New York, Thailand and Singapore on the single art for all his music releases.
