Wonderfruit Festival 2015 has wrapped up earlier this week and we miss everything about it already.
After warming up and settling in on Thursday and feeling the excitement grow on Friday, when it came to the weekend Wonderfruit brought with it even more magic to be discovered.
From delectable feasts by Err and the The Oyster Bar in the lunchtime sun, to a sumptuous banquet beneath the stars from Bangkok’s most rock ‘n’ roll chef, Gaggan and lots more delicious delights across the field, guests were thoroughly well fed. A good thing, really, since there was so much to do. Creative and mind-opening activities for all ages over the weekend ranged from kite-making to sunset yoga and we were treated to fascinating Scratch Talks from the likes of Peter Hampel from EdenLab and John Hardy of Green School.
The field looked gorgeous, dotted with art installations and by the end of Sunday, The Aviary – among others – was completely transformed. Dance performances from Valerie Berger, Lordfai and Edge Playmaker had us all in thrall and the gang from Bangkok Swing brought the audience onto the dance floor for a workshop and jam session. As the evenings drew in, the day’s worth of fun and discovery had got everyone in the mood for the diverse line up of stellar musical acts, from Rajasthan Roots to Jon Hopkins and Rhye to Blonde Redhead on the Living Stage and after-hours venues The Quarry and Solar Stage, which stayed pumping until the early hours.
We can’t wait what the festival has in store in the year ahead!
