Critically-acclaimed British five-piece Nothing But Thieves is making their way to Singapore for the first time, playing Hard Rock Cafe Singapore on August 18.
The show is part of Nothing But Thieves’s 2016 Under My Skin tour, which kicked off earlier this month in the UK. The Southend-on-Sea-based alt-rock band is the second act chosen as part of LAMC Productions’ Rising Star Series.
Limited early bird tickets, priced at SGD88, go on sale this April 21, 9AM onwards on LAMC’s official site. Standard tickets are SGD98.
Nothing But Thieves have been making waves across the UK, Australia and the US with their debut album Nothing But Thieves, topping both radio and album charts with leading hits like “Itch”, “Trip Switch” and “If I Get High”.
Beside selling out their own headlining tour in their home country along with Los Angeles and New York City, the quintet have been chosen to support Muse in the UK and European legs of the Drones World Tour.
The band have also proven critics’ favourite: “The Southend five-piece runs up debts to Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Muse, early Coldplay and blue-eyed soul,” The London Times notes. “The audacity with which they set about these templates is genuinely thrilling, as if they’re on their third or fourth album, not prepping for their first. Stadiums surely beckon.”
Additionally, they will be playing at Seoul’s Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival (Aug 12-14) and Summer Sonic Festival in Osaka (Aug 20) and Tokyo (21).
