Sorry Ken, it’s not going to happen. Aqua’s 20th Anniversary Tour in Singapore has been cancelled.

Mode Entertainment announced on Facebook today the anticipated reunion concert of the 90’s Eurodance group has been called off due to “unforeseen circumstances”. The show, the only date outside Scandinavia, was set to take place on Saturday, November 25 at The Star Theatre.

Ticket holders will be reimbursed in full. Official ticket channel SISTIC will follow up with an email by the end of this week on the refund process.

Aqua’s comes as the latest cancellation Singaporean fans have been let down by these last few months, after STRFKR, Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox, Justin Bieber and Ministry.

Hailing from Copenhagen, Aqua became a worldwide craze in the late 1990’s with dance hits like “Barbie Girl”, “Doctor Jones” and “My Oh My”. The foursome broke up in 2001 but regrouped in 2008 to record a new album, and subsequently in 2016 and 2017 to celebrate a 20th year milestone.
