BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend returns this weekend with the best of pop music. Over 25,000 attendees thronged to Exeter in the South of England to mark the beginning of Britain’s music festival season and experience live music from fan favourites from both sides of the ponds.
Big Weekend concluded yesterday (May 29) with an impressive lineup that includes, on the Main Stage, OneRepublic, Kygo, Ellie Goulding, Years & Years, Catfish and the Bottlemen, The 1975, The Weeknd and headliner Coldplay; while the likes of Alesso, The Last Shadow Puppers, Wolf Alice and Jack Garratt hit the In New Music We Trust stage.

2016 Music Festival Directory (June – December)
BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend is the largest free ticketed music festival in the UK and Europe. It is held annually since 2003 by BBC Radio 1 in different locations across Britain. Last year’s edition took place in Norwich with Muse, Florence + The Machine, David Guetta and Foo Fighters performing.
