Formerly known as bittymacbeth, Singaporean singer-songwriter Bitty is making her debut under this new moniker, presenting her recently released R&B/pop self-titled EP at her concert on August 14 at the Esplanade.

The announcement of her gig also comes just a handful of days after the release of her new EP.

Released earlier this month, Bitty follows Better Not Bitter (released in 2020) and Beauty For Ashes (released in 2016), both of which were released under the moniker bittymacbeth.

The opening track ‘(We Used To Be) S O C L O S E’  features Boston-based Indonesian singer Jessica Nathania, who sings in Bahasa Indonesia. The song has had over 10k streams on Spotify.

In her Esplanade gig next month, Bitty will play exclusive live versions of new and familiar tunes.

Expect an orchestra of sounds (quite literally) from this funky bassist-soulful chanteuse, her band and guest performer, Axel Brizzy – who also features in the track ‘MAKE MY DREAMS COME TRUE’.

The song was warmly received and has been featured on several Spotify-curated playlists including New Music Friday India, Rising 65 and Women of Singapore, the latter of which Bitty is now the face of.

Known for her simultaneous live vocals and bass shedding, Bitty has also shared festival stages with the likes of Alice Ivy, Jessica Jung, BP Valenzuela and Charlie Lim. She has also performed at the famed The Middle East nightclub in Boston and New York City.

Brace yourself and expect nothing more than violins, trumpets, saxophones and everything in between in her gig next month!

Tickets are priced at $28, with various discounts for E&Me card holders and concession rates for students and senior citizens, and can be purchased via SISTIC.
