The Borneo Sonic Music Festival took the stage on October 6 to 7 at the Sarawak Stadium at Kuching. The initial run of the annual event is not the first major music festival in this island location. But with the turnout over this monumental weekend, there may be more. This will definitely put Borneo as a future destination for musical artists to perform for fans.

Day 1 started with a bang led by headliners CL (of 2NE1 fame) and HYO (of Girls Generation). Fatman Scoop, Ning Baizura, and more notable local artists are the support artists.

Day 2 highlighted music luminaries such as Havana Brown from Australia and Suho from EXO. Taeyang of BigBang ultimately closed the festival. See the full lineup below.
This music festival’s attended headcount was at roughly 31000 patrons for both nights combined. To date, it is the most significant event ever on the island. BME (International) Malaysia Sdn Bhd organized this monumental event. Skyline Entertainment and artist management Dream Factory Entertainment helped with organizing as well.
