But now, with his new song “We Were Never Really Friends” released earlier this May, it’s the perfect time for the romantic singer-songwriter to return and perform other songs live in #HYHBKK Live! with Bruno Major this August.
At the age of 7, this young man from Northampton became a classically trained guitarist. He later moved to London in search of opportunities where the shows by influential artists like Elton John, Tom Waits, and Stevie Wonder take place. Bolstered by these inspirations, he became an accomplished songwriter and guitarist.
Bruno Major’s early songs explore human relationships, love, and heartbreak. From the post-breakup ritual of shutting ourselves in and ordering take-outs to accepting that sadness is a part of life, his music helps us learn to coexist with it. Despite his songs having a touch of melancholia, Bruno manages to sneak in some humor, reminding us to cherish the happy moments in life.
His wit for using music from a classic movie like 101 Dalmatians as a sample, fusing jazz into sleek modern electronic sounds, strikes the perfect balance of delicate and moving elements. With over 400 million streams, Bruno has gained the opportunity to tour the world, including opening for Sam Smith and collaborating with renowned producer Finneas.
