As the final countdown to the release of CHVRCHES’ third album Love Is Dead began, Indonesian fans learned today that they need only wait two months more to experience the record live.
That’s because the Glasgow synth-pop outfit is confirmed to play in Jakarta for the first time on Wednesday, July 25 at Plenary Hall, Jakarta Convention Center.

The show is brought to you by Sonic Live, who’s also toting Paramore in August. Long long ago, our intention was to bring CHVRCHES to Indonesia,” the promoter wrote, “and now here we are!”
Tickets start from IDR400,000, going on sale through BookMyShow May 25 onwards.
Sadly for other cities, Jakarta will be the only Asia stop beside Japan’s Fuji Rock this year. However, in an interview given to Bandwagon, band member Martin Doherty said they’re definitely going to return to the region soon.

Formed in 2011, CHVRCHES consist of Doherty, Lauren Mayberry and Iain Cook. They’re best known for “The Mother We Share”, “Bury It” and “Leave A Trace”. Their third studio effort Love Is Dead, out May 25, is co-produced by sonic mastermind Greg Kurstin (Adele, Foo Fighters, Sia), making it their first release not independently produced.
