Renowned English musician Damon Albarn has announced his second solo album, The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows, set for release on November 12 via Transgressive Records.

Damon Albarn, founding member behind Blur, Gorillaz and The Good, the Bad & the Queen, has announced his new solo album, The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows.

The record, set for release on November 12, 2021 via Transgressive Records, was first intended to be an orchestral project inspired by the Icelandic landscape.

Albarn later returned to the studio under lockdown to develop 11 songs that deal with ‘fragility, loss, evolution, and rebirth’.

The artist also shared the title track that gives listeners what to expect.

The title of the album is taken from the John Clare poem Love and Memory.
