Belgian EDM duo, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike was voted world’s best DJ’s
British magazine DJ Mag made a poll announcement at Amsterdam Dance Event with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike claiming to be the world’s best DJ this year at Amsterdam Dance Festival on October 19 surpassing Dutch colleague Martin Garrix out of first place.
The brothers made had over a million people on their vote, making them number-one spot in DJ Mag Top 100, claiming their spot for the second time since 2015.
“I have to ‘pinch myself’. Winning the award in 2015 was really cool, but now it means so much more because we’ve been working so hard in recent years and we’ve grown as artists, as a family and as a team, but above all, as a ‘music scene’ that has undergone such tremendous exponential growth, in general.”

“That so many people worldwide have helped us, every step of the way, and have re-elected us as their #1 DJs is such a fantastic compliment. So, a big thanks to our fans, from Willebroek and Boom to South America, India and the rest of the world.”

In 2011, the duo landed on the DJ mag top list spot at 79th place for the first time and by 2014 they broke into top ten. Eventually in 2014, they were considered the best DJ’s in the world and in 2015 they were ranked #1 DJ’s in the world for the first time. For three consecutive years, Dutch star DJ Martin Garrix claimed their spot, but as of today they are back at the top while followed by Martin Garrix at second place with three is completed by David Guetta, Armin Van Buren and Marshmello.
Their Platinum Hit “Instagram” released together with David Guetta & Afrobros just in time for summer. The brothers conquered the charts in every corner of the world with the “Latin Vibes” courtesy of world-famous stars Daddy Yankee and Natti Natasha with over 200,000,000 streams on the streaming platforms. Add to that their own e-sports team, a solo-project for Mike, some nice cameo roles in movies and their own playable character in the popular fighting game Mortal Kombat 11 for Dimitri Vegas – and it’s clear that jack-of-all-trades doesn’t begin to describe these boys.
