British pop star Ed Sheeran has done it again – releasing yet another banger of a hit with ‘Shivers’.
The lit new single comes after ‘Bad Habits’ and ‘Visiting Hours’, the third release from his highly anticipated 4th studio album ‘=’, out October 29.
Says Sheeran of the new song,
“I wrote this as soon as the Divide tour ended in a rented farm in Suffolk where we had set up a studio for a couple of weeks to see what happened. It was written over the course of 3 days which is very different for me, but I felt it was too special to get wrong. It was originally meant to be the first single but I just didn’t see a world where ‘Bad Habits’ existed if it didn’t come out in the summer. ‘Shivers’ always felt more autumnal. I hope you like it, I bloody love it. The video is wild, but you’ll see that.”
The new single is doing well since its release. Apart from amassing and coming out tops in new music charts, it was also voted in and topped a Billboard poll last Friday, where fans chose “Shivers” as their favourite new music release of the past week, clocking in with 34.64% of the votes.
Watch the exciting and wild music video below, starring AnnaSophia Robb, and done with Dave Meyars, who also made ‘Bad Habits’. We’re pretty sure that we’re getting some Elton John vibes with those feathers, sequins, fringe, rose-colored glasses and silver pants right here! Love it!
The song is infectiously catchy and shiveringly good – giving us those lit vibes that we never expected from the artist before. Not like this anyway… The video is insanely wild too, with a touch of those endearing “feels” of falling in love – the “Shivers” that you get when you’re in love and can’t stop thinking about that person. You know it, don’t you…

With ‘Bad Habits’ still fresh on our minds, this new single just brings forth the versatility and talent of Sheeran – giving us vibes, feels and songs that are just “fire”! We’re absolutely blown away and riveted!
From the anticipation of his new studio album out next month, we certainly can’t wait for a tour here in Asia as well. You can definitely expect this writer here to be dashing again for the gig barricade for that front row when this is on!
