Collective Minds presents the London five-piece Ezra Collective in Asia.

Ezra Collective โ€“ The pioneer of the wave of UK jazz movement is performing in Seoul and Singapore for the very first time!
Their live show infuses a sensitive, soulful and pertinently groove-laced. Following a joyous and stunningly cohesive show in May 2016, Boiler Room rightly labelled the group as โ€œpioneering the new-wave of U.K. jazzโ€.

As the genre enjoys a new lease of life that is gaining momentum across the country, Ezra Collective are adding their own fresh and imaginative face to a style that continues to be โ€œas entertaining as it is educationalโ€ (Trench). In a year that saw them sell out legendary London venue Ronnie Scottโ€™s twice, 2017 also bought with it the release of their genre-bending second EP, Juan Pablo: The Philosopher. After Ezra Collective took the EP successfully across their Europe and UK tour and completely sold out of the vinyl, Juan Pablo: The Philosopher went on to win the accolade of Best Jazz Album at Gilles Petersonโ€™s esteemed Worldwide Awards in January 2018. The band were also recent winners of the 2018 Jazz FM Awards for โ€œBest UK Jazz Actโ€ and โ€œLive Experience of the Yearโ€, and have their debut album scheduled for Spring 2019.

Recently theyโ€™ve launched the newest Fast-Paced soundtrack showcasing instantaneous energy hums with excitement and ambition of new possibilities! With the saxophones being a prominent theme throughout over a rapid heartbeat of the bass. โ€œQuest For Coinโ€ have really showcased the band the ability to extract multiple genres together with no restrictions and bringing freedom to the listeners. Yes, we are truly impressed!
