Oh, Wildcats, it is on! High School Musical cast have reunited to celebrate the Disney’s hit trilogy’s 10th anniversary in a special telecast.
The show’s set to air on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 on Disney Channel. All your 13-year-old self’s favourites – Vanessa Hudgens (Gabriella), Ashley Tisdale (Sharpay), Corbin Bleu (Chad), Monique Cole (Taylor) and Lucas Grabeel (Ryan) – will return to get your Wildcat’s heart warm and fuzzy again. And no, you’re not reading it wrong. Leading man Zac Efron experienced some schedule conflict due to filming new movie The Disaster Artist as well as promotion tours for Dirty Grandpa and Neighbors 2 so he couldn’t join the gang for a little walk down memory lane.
But Troy Bolton didn’t bolt. Of course, he wouldn’t. The theatrical basketball team captain will appear on the show in a separate video message.
Meanwhile his classmates are gearing up for their reunion and expressing their excitement on Twitter.

High School Musical premiered on the Disney Channel on January 20, 2006 and spurred two sequels, High School Musical 2 and High School Musical 3: Senior Year in the following years. Even though the cast have gathered several times in the past few years, nothing is quite as exciting as this upcoming special. Watch a teaser down below.
