The young singer-songwriter has released ‘Never Going Back’ – a song about focusing on both the good parts of a relationship to the realisation that moving on may be the better option. Moving on is hard but necessary to grow as a person.
At the fresh age of 14, Malaysian singer-songwriter Keira Costelloe was one of the lucky few born with the natural gift of song and voice. Her distinctive tone blends incredibly well with synth-driven, modern pop records.
She released her debut single ‘Tell Me’ in May 2020 receiving phenomenal success and rave reviews from her music peers. The song has racked up over 150,000 streams on Spotify to date.
Keira’s debut single, ‘Tell Me’, has been a huge success with special recognition on Malaysia’s #1 radio station Hitz FM, where ‘Tell Me’ was #1 for over 8 weeks on HitzMET 10 show and in the charts for over 4 weeks on Malaysia’s main board, Hitz 30. Keira has participated in a number of interviews on Malaysia’s national radio, including: Keanu’s Hitz Tonight Show, Ili’s Totally Indie Show on Fly FM, Zher’s Soundtrack of My Life on Hitz FM and Basil’s HitzMet10 Show.
On the new single ‘Never Going Back’, Costelloe says this,
“Never Going Back has taken a bit longer than planned to release but I am excited now that the release date of 12th November 2020 has been finalised. The song is possibly a bit less intense than Tell Me but it still has that EDM vibe and beat drop that seem to be a main feature in these two songs. As with all my songs, the lyrics are important to me and Never Going Back is that final realisation that it is time to move on. I hope the song can be seen as a natural progression from Tell Me and part of a range of music styles and sounds I want to create going forward. Hope you enjoy :)”
