With the arrival of this year’s Evolveit’s time for Thai fans to wonder when they’d get to see Imagine Dragons again. Wonder no more: the Nevada alternative rockers are returning to Bangkok on Friday, September 8 at the new Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park.

But there’s a catch: it’s a members-only show to celebrate the official opening of the hotel. So if you or your family happen to be a Marriott Rewards member, lucky you. Members can also use their points to bid for VIP experiences, namely a photo opportunity and a green room access where you’ll get to attend the soundcheck and hang out with the band before the show. The bidding ends on Friday. All details can be found here.

Imagine Dragons were last in town in 2015 with Smoke + Mirrors Tour. They’re embarking on a followup tour in September to support their third album, Evolve. Only North American dates have been announced so far.

We can’t say that the upcoming private show is part of the tour. We certainly hope not. It’ll be a shame if the guys don’t bring their big arena tunes to an actual arena some time next year. Even a bigger shame if we don’t see frontman Dan Reynolds in these baggy “tourist pants” again.
