Bass music talent Mazare has released a heavy-hitting collaborative track with hard rock outfit Bloodhounds titled ‘Wake Up’, out now via Monstercat.

Seamlessly blending Bloodhounds’ gritty rock instrumentation with Mazare’s bass production, ‘Wake Up’ appeals to both rock and electronic music fans.

Opening up with a stadium rock riff from guitarist James Percival, Mazare adds heavy electronic elements to the track that culminates in the listener headbanging to the bass drop all the while Bloodhounds vocalist Joey Newell sings with his aggressive vocal style.

After signing to Monstercat in 2019, Mazare has built an impressive catalogue of music by collaborating with a wide range of artists across genres while infusing their sounds with his heavy productions.

On working with Bloodhounds on the track, Mazare says,

‘I’ve always been a fan of bands like Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave, for both the music and the themes behind it, and in the last couple of years I’ve been experimenting a lot with rock music in my productions. When I discovered Bloodhounds and heard Joey’s voice and James’ guitar I was blown away and I decided to hit them up and see if they could have been interested in working on something together. They were super excited to try and that’s how ‘Wake Up’ was born!’

‘Wake Up’ serves as the lead single for an upcoming five-track EP by Mazare due later this year on Monstercat.
