We’ll definitely see a lot more of her this year as she’s also been cast for an upcoming 1960’s-set Woody Allen Amazon Prime series.
The Voice is returning to the glass screen this February 29 and will feature the same cast of mentors – Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams – with Christina Aguilera replacing Gwen Stefani this season.
Miley Cyrus is the latest addition to the show’s key advisor family. In the previous seasons, artists like Rihanna and Chris Martin have dropped by to give each team an extra help. Miley’s contemporary Taylor Swift also took on the job in 2014.
Taylor Swift made headlines when she was on the show so it looks like Miley has a lot to gear up for. But knowing Miley, this season is going to fun and wild and much more.
“When Miley speaks, everyone pays attention. Our artists are very lucky to have the benefit of her instincts and wisdom. Our viewers will be treated to an inside look at one of the brightest minds in music and the entertainment industry who is at the forefront of pop culture,” president of alternative and late night programming for NBC Entertainment Paul Telegdy told US Weekly magazine.
NBC’s The Voice is based on the original The Voice of Holland. The uniqueness of the show lies on the fact that mentors have to choose team members judging by their voice alone.
