Japanese piano trio Omoinotake is back — this time with a track that’s pulling more than just heartstrings. Their newest single “Gravity” has just been announced as the theme song for the upcoming Japan-Thailand co-production film LOVE SONG, set to hit theaters in Japan on October 31, 2025.

Directed by Champ Weerachit Thongjila, the mastermind behind global BL phenomenon 2gether, LOVE SONG stars Win Morisaki and Koji Mukai of Snow Man. Set across Tokyo and Bangkok, the story unfolds as a tender romance connected by — you guessed it — an unfinished song. It’s a film about fate, timing, and the kind of love that leaves echoes behind.

And who better to put that feeling into sound than Omoinotake? The band’s blend of emotive piano-driven melodies and rich vocals makes them a natural fit for a story like this. From the short teaser alone, “Gravity” already feels like a slow fall into something honest and deeply moving.

This isn’t their first time hitting the emotional sweet spot. Earlier this year, their single “Billions of Light Years (Ikuokukounen)” broke past 400 million streams, served as the theme for the TBS drama Eye Love You, and earned them an Excellent Work Award at the 66th Japan Record Awards. That recognition helped them land a debut spot on Japan’s legendary Kōhaku Uta Gassen, one of the biggest televised music events of the year.

Now, with “Gravity” joining their list of major soundtrack features, Omoinotake continues to cement their place as one of J-pop’s rising names. They’re also taking their music overseas this year with their first international shows:

  • Taipei on November 27 at Zepp New Taipei
  • Bangkok on December 10 at Lido Connect (Hall 2)

And for fans in Japan? Mark your calendars for March 15, 2026 — Omoinotake will take on their first headlining show at Nippon Budokan, one of Tokyo’s most iconic venues.

In the meantime, check out the LOVE SONG teaser trailer here and catch a first listen of “Gravity” — a song that’s already shaping up to be the emotional core of a love story that spans two countries and hearts.
