American musician Paul Cherry enlists the help of Kuo, guitarist of Sunset Rollercoaster, for new single ‘No News No Blues’.
Evoking nostalgic grooves from the 70’s and 80’s, ‘No News No Blues’ is an optimistic song that demonstrates timely love.
The track is also the first single for his forthcoming album Back on the Music scheduled for released on March 11 via Sunset Music.
Paul Cherry comments,
“As an artist, you always hope to meet the ones that inspire you the most and if you’re lucky enough, you get to work with them one day. Working with Kuo on this song was such a special experience because it felt like we had written 100 songs before on our first try. It was effortless, and the song came together like magic because we were both on the exact same page, despite being from completely different worlds. I’ve never had a songwriting experience like that before, and I think it will be a long time until I have one like that again.”
Paul and Kuo first met in 2018 while touring together in the UK. The encounter led to Kuo, the guitarist for Taiwanese synthpop band Sunset Rollercoaster, to sign Paul as the first overseas artist for his Sunset Music label.
Kuo comments on the song
“Paul and I had an ultra special moment writing this ultra special song during the ultra special time.”
