One of the most anticipated summer music events, Reading & Leeds Festival returns on August 26-28 to Reading’s Richfield Avenue and Leeds’ Richfield Park, and there you’ll find all your rock and alternative favourites.
Confirmed to headline the three-day two-city event are Foals and Disclosure, who’ll share the duty on August 26 in Reading and on August 27 in Leeds; Red Hot Chili Peppers (Aug 27 – Reading, Aug 28 – Leeds); and Biffy Clyro and Fall Out Boy (Aug 26 – Leeds, Aug 28 – Reading).
The festival bill also includes Grammy-winning duo Jack Ü, CHVRCHES, twenty one pilots, Imagine Dragons, Two Door Cinema Club, Haim, The 1975, The Vaccines and The Wombats. It’s quite safe to say the 2016 Reading & Leeds Festival will be alternative heads’ heaven on earth.
Single day and full weekend camping tickets are now available at GBP213 and GBP66.5. Extra passes such as parking and campervan may be required. Check out for information here.
Reading & Leeds Festival has been active since 1961, although the Reading event is the older of the two, being first held in 1971 while Leeds followed in 1999. Today, the events in both cities always take place simultaneously on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the British August bank holiday weekend, and share the same lineup, which is generally dominated by rock, alternative, indie, punk and metal music acts.
