After bringing Defying Gravity Tour to Asia last October, rock supergroup Mr. Big are returning to the region earlier than expected.

This time they’re bringing ageless hits like “Wild World, “Addicted To That Rush” and “To Be With You” to Bangkok. The American icons will be performing in the Thai capital for the first time in almost nine years on Tuesday, June 12 at Muang Thai GMM Live House.

The plan was revealed last week as the band updated their 2018 tour schedule, which also includes Taipei, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and a run in Australia with Extreme.

Early bird tickets go on sale from March 31-April 5 through promoter PMG for THB1,800 and 2,700. Make a deposit to 215-0-77627-2 (Bangkok Bank) and confirm your purchase through LINE messenger with @prart.

Advance tickets, priced at THB2,000 and 3,000, will be available through Thai Ticket Major and its channels April 6, 10am onwards.

Mr. Big last performed in Bangkok in 2009 at Thunderdome on their reunion tour. Since then, they have released three studio albums, the latest being last year’s Defying Gravity which took exactly six days to make.

The band’s current lineup comprises Eric Martin, Billie Sheehan, Paul Gilbert and Matt Starr. Starr has been taking over lead drumming duties on tour from founding member Pat Torpey since the latter was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2014. Torpey passed away in February due to complications from the disease.

Update (Mar 14): Promoter Prart Music Group has confirmed the show will act as a tribute concert for Pat Torpey.
