Emerging Swedish alt-pop artist Summer Heart has released a bold and sultry summertime jam ‘Wash You Off’, alongside the announcement of his forthcoming EP, Insecurities, due for release on September 3 via Icons Creating Evil Art.
Described by The Guardian as a “Fine purveyor of eminently listenable, wistful chillwave pop,” Summer Heart continues his own distinct flair for smooth and vibrant alt-pop production on “Wash You Off”. With its rich and psychedelic aesthetic measured effortlessly amongst his own charismatic and intoxicating vocals, his newest effort is perfect for the long summer days.
On his inspiration for the song, Summer Heart shares,
“Wash You Off is about trying to get rid of a negative past and moving on to a new and hopefully exciting phase in life. Leaving bad habits and old patterns behind is definitely something I struggle with and it feels like I’m stuck from time to time. The only thing that works is just going out for a run, taking a long shower and literally wash the past off.”
Following the success of Summer Heart’s fresh and vibrant array of upbeat offerings, including his take on Drake’s “Passionfruit” and highly-praised EP ‘Ambitions’ last year, his new EP ‘Insecurities’ looks to continue the artist’s steady rise. Beginning a new chapter in his career, this forthcoming collection sees him take the next step in his musical evolution.
Having performed independently for over eight years, Summer Heart now joins the ranks of the impressive roster signed to the renowned Swedish label Icons Creating Evil Art.
