Tigers Jaw has released their anticipated new album I Won’t Care How You Remember Me via Hopeless Records. To celebrate, the band debuted a live performance of the album in its entirety via YouTube Live on March 5.
Produced by Tigers Jaw and Will Yip (Mannequin Pussy, Nothing, Code Orange), I Won’t Care How You Remember Me was released to features at FLOOD Magazine, Brooklyn Vegan, New Noise, and American Songwriter, among others, and acclaim from Kerrang!, Chorus.FM, and more. The album was named among 2021’s ‘Most Anticipated Albums’ by Stereogum and Alternative Press, and its teaser singles earned early support from SPIN, The New York Times’s Playlist (“a confident step out of the shadow of the past and into the band’s future”), Pitchfork, Uproxx, and NPR Music. In Asia, the band has been featured on KKBOX’s ⻄洋獨立最前線 and Indie Picks playlists, Apple Music’s Breaking Rock playlist in India and Korea, and more.
Tigers Jaw’s sixth album finds the Scranton, Pennsylvania-based band taking a back-to-the-basement approach, resulting in a new songwriting dynamic: while their 2017 release found Walsh and Collins splitting writing duties, I Won’t Care How You Remember Me marks the first time all four members shared songwriting input. The band’s most sonically ambitious and lyrically affecting album to date, I Won’t Care How You Remember Me sees a newfound freshness and creative freedom crystalizing the lush world of Tigers Jaw.
