You read that right, ‘90s music icon and 7-time Grammy award-winner Alanis Morissette is coming to the Philippines and Japan for her Jagged Little Pill 2020 tour!
Last January 30, Alanis Morissette herself announced via social media that the Philippines and Japan are part of her Jagged Little Pill 2020 World Tour. In case you missed it, in December of last year, Alanis released new music for the first time after almost a decade.
She then announced a 2020 world tour in celebration of Jagged Little Pill album’s 25th anniversary. Also in December 2019, a Broadway musical that was based on Alanis Morisette’s 1995 album opened in New York.
The last time Alanis Morissette was in Japan was in 2004 for her So-Called Chaos Tour, and in Manila was 1999 for the Junkie Tour. She was behind massive and iconic ‘90s hits like “Ironic”, “You Oughta Know”, and “Hand In My Pocket”.
Presented by Live Nation, Alanis Morissette is set to perform in Toyosu Pit, Tokyo on April 2, and in Zepp Namba, Osaka on April 3. Pre-sale tickets are priced at ¥10,000 for Tokyo, and ¥10,000 – 15,000 for Osaka at Live Nation.
The Manila leg is presented by Ovation Productions and is happening at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on April 6th. Ticket prices are PHP 12,700, PHP 11,700, PHP 9,700, PHP 7,700, PHP 4,700, and PHP 2,700, and will be available starting February 5, 12 noon via Sm Tickets.
