Adele just took James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke to the next level. Like, let’s just say we might need to reconsider our rankings.
Appearing on The Late Late Show’s popular pre-recorded segment, the 27-year-old singer and raised the (car) roof blasting “Hello” and “Someone Like You” amongst other hits with compatriot, show host James Corden.
As per usual, Corden starts the segment dialling one of his celebrity friends to ask if they’d accompany him on the passenger seat (not to work this time, though. The London-native’s back in London). This being Adele he’s calling, of course he pulls a “Hello, it’s me” when she picks up. Banal as the line may sound in January 2016, we would be disappointed if he didn’t, to be honest.
Once Adele’s got into the car, it’s everything you’d want the journey to be. And probably even more British than one would have expected (tea, “rubbish” weather and Spice Girls are among the subjects covered) but that’s all the more reason to dub this video the best thing you’ve seen all week.
