Legendary rock band Aerosmith is gearing up for their farewell tour in 2017 following lead singer Steven Tyler’s thirty solo shows this year.
“Look, there’s [sic] two bands that still have the original members, us and the [Rolling] Stones. I’m grateful for that. Whether we do a farewell tour or go into the studio and do another record, I’m just excited about it,” says Tyler after talking about the band’s break up.
The last time the members was seen performing together was in September 2015 in a show in Moscow. Tyler has spent time working on his country album ever since.

However, the band’s guitarist Joe Perry wasn’t so thrilled about Tyler’s ongoing gigs. “If I didn’t know him when I heard the song I’d go, ‘It’s okay, next,'” Perry told USA Today. “He’s got a fucking rhinestone cowboy hat going, ‘Yippee ki yay.’ I don’t know what else to say about that.”
Tyler first responded to Perry’s comment by accusing the guitarist of being “jealous”. The singer softened to the news later on and expressed his appreciation for Perry.

“But then I really, really, couldn’t be here doing what I’m doing now if if wasn’t for Joe Perry. It’s a strange catch-22, but if you slow down enough you get to see it. It’s a obvious as balls on a tall dog. I wouldn’t be anywhere without those guys, so I’m as grateful as I can be.”
Nevertheless, Aerosmith might still be one of the many music legends who have sworn retirement, yet continue touring a few years later (*ahem* – Cher, Ozzy Osbourne, Kiss…).
