If you’ve already gotten yourself one of the extremely sought-after Glastonbury tickets, lucky for you, as Coldplay reportedly asked Rihanna to join them for their headlining gig on Sunday, June 26.
Chris Martin and Co. will be playing at the British summer festival, and fortunately enough, Rihanna will also be in the UK at the time without a scheduled appearance (yet).
Looks like Coldplay is heading to the Philippines
RiRi’s shows in the UK so far include London’s Wembley Stadium on June 24, Coventry’s Ricoh Arena on June 25, and finally at Glasgow’s Hampden Park on June 27.
According to a source, “Rihanna plays London and Coventry over the festival weekend but there’s a Glasto-shaped gap in her schedule on the Sunday. So you never know.”
So, there is a possibility that we will get to see the “Work” singer performing with the British band, especially since she was previously featured in their track “Princess Of China” on 2011’s Mylo Xyloto.
Rihanna and Coldplay have even performed the number together before at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Paralympics.
Coldplay released their seventh studio album A Head Full of Dreams in December last year. The British rock band is currently touring the UK. They will head to Amsterdam for two days before returning to UK for their Glastonbury gig.
