DNCE blew the crowd away with their hit single “Cake by the Ocean” on a giant three-layered cake at the 2016 Kids Choice Awards.
The Kids’ Choice Awards were held at the The Forum in Inglewood, California on March 12.
The band appeared in front of the crowd by coming out of a giant cake in their striking pop art outfits. Lead singer Joe Jonas rocked his new lavender blue hair and paced around the stage entertaining the audience, which included Adam Sandler and his two daughters. By the end of the set, the cake shot out green slime, firing up the crowd once again.
The four-member pop rock band led by Jonas was nominated for their first Kids’ Choice Awards nomination, Favourite New Artist, along with Alessia Cara, OMI, Shawn Mendes, Silento, and Walk The Moon. Though Mendes eventually took home the blimp, DNCE didn’t disappoint the fans with their epic performance.
DNCE are also up for two awards at the Radio Disney Music Awards, and will be performing there too on April 30 in Los Angeles.
