French electropop band Yelle are making their way to Asia next month for three separate gigs in Bangkok and Singapore.
The vibrant duo consisting of namesake singer Yelle (Julie Budet) and producer GrandMarnier (Jean-François Perrier) are playing Bangkok’s Live RCA on Tuesday, May 9 in a show by Medium Rare Live before heading to Gallery Theatre, National Museum Singapore on Friday and Saturday, May 12-13. The two shows are brought to you Figure8 Agency.

Bangkok tickets, priced at THB650 for early birds and THB750 in the next tier, are up for grabs at Ticket Melon. Tickets to the Singapore show are SGD88, now on sale through TicketBox.
Formed in 2005, Yelle came to prominence when they posted an early version of the song “Je veux te voir” on MySpace, which went on to chart at No. 4 in France. Their first album, Pop Up (2007), featuring another hit “A cause des garçons”, stood out with its infectious and unashamedly fun outlook. It didn’t only lead them to work with with Robyn and Katy Perry, but also gained them fans in fellow musicians such as M.I.A. and Mika.

Yelle released to more acclaimed albums, Safari Disco Club and Complètement fou,in 2011 and 2014. The’ve toured internationally and remain one of the very rare French acts to have performed three times at Coachella. On tour with their latest sweet and soothing 2016 track “Ici & Maintenant (Here & Now)”, the band embrace their new state of mind of being simply and fully in the moment.
