We got a feel-good rush listening to ‘Dopamine’, Elephante’s euphoric third single of the year, ahead of his forthcoming full-length album.
Rising Asian-American DJ/producer Elephante explores feelings of desire with new hypnotizing tune ‘Dopamine’.
He comments,
”Dopamine” is about desire, about scratching the itch. It’s about wanting to experience the world at its fullest – driving 150 mph down the highway, chasing your lover across the dance floor, taking that last shot that you know you probably shouldn’t – whatever it takes to make you feel something.”
The new single, which sees the dance-pop artist returning to his house music roots, continues his themes of self-reflection and despair established in his previous two releases ‘Holy Ghosts’ and ‘High Water’.
His newfound state of introspection came from personal experiences during the ongoing pandemic as well as past addictions that affected his well-being during his younger years.
Elephante’s first full-length album, Heavy Glow, will arrive on October 22.
Born to Taiwanese immigrants, Elephante pursued a music career when he became unfulfilled in the corporate world of America.
His blossoming career as a dance music producer has earned him millions of streams across his two EPs – 2016’s I Am The Elephante and 2018’s Glass Mansion.
