Both Green Day and Singapore promoter Lushington Entertainments issued statements today on Facebook that the gig, slated to happen on 8 March, will be postponed.
See the statement below:
“Thank you all for your kind patience. In light of the coronavirus situation, we regret to announce that Green Day – Live in Singapore 2020, originally scheduled on 8 March 2020, has been postponed.
Current tickets purchased through Sports Hub Tix will remain valid for the rescheduled date. We are actively working with the band management on the rescheduled date and we will endeavour to announce the new date very soon.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding.”
Green Day was also originally supposed to perform in Thailand, the Philippines, Taipei, Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan in March.
Like many music lovers in the region, we at AsiaLive365 are equally gutted.
But hey, at least it’s a postponement and not a cancellation.
