It’s taken them over a decade and it’s finally happening: The Killers are coming to Bangkok.

Thanks to promoter VIJI Corp, who’s been on a roll this year, the band behind your noughties anthems like “Mr Brightside”, “When You Were Young” and “Human” is set to make their Bangkok debut on Monday, September 17 at Thunder Dome, Muang Thong Thani.

The Las Vegas rockers will be performing to support Wonderful Wonderful, their fifth full-length effort which came out last September. Bangkok is the only date announced for Southeast Asia so far.

Fans looking forward to seeing The Killers’ full lineup will be disappointed, however. Though still active as a member, bassist Mark Stoermer announced last year he was taking a break from touring to go back to college while guitarist Dave Keuning wished to spend more time with his family. Frontman Brandon Flowers and drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr. will instead be joined by Jake Blanton on bass and Ted Sablay on guitar and keyboard.

Tickets go on sale June 2 at 10am through Ticketmelon for THB2,800 and 3,500. While we wait for the big day, rock out to this Wonderful Wonderful track.
