Released via Proximity, the enthralling melodic bass track by the blossoming producer features enchanting vocals by RØRY.

The song, which is the latest in a string of massive releases by Nurko, features a soothing melody paired with emotional vocals, along with lyrics that explore feelings of isolation and heartbreak.

Nurko says of the track,

“The second I heard the chorus of Røry’s demo of ‘Better off Lonely’, I knew I needed to work with this vocal. The lyrics are very emotional yet catchy and a lot of people can relate to them. I wanted to build a song that matches the same emotion of her vocals, which is why I used her voice as the lead synth in the drop. I imagined the song structure resembling the emotional stages of a recent break up: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance. I hope you enjoy this song!”

The track is the latest in an ever-growing catalog of songs by the budding producer following the release of ‘You Can Be My Light’, a collaboration with Trivecta and vocalist Monika Santucci.

The release is also ahead of his performance at ‘Alone Together’ music festival, which is hosted by Norwegian DJ/producer Matoma and will be available to stream for two days via Proximity’s YouTube channel on Aug 22-23, 2020.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Black Mental Health Alliance, To Write Love On Her Arms, and Active Minds, all of which will support mental health awareness.
