Look out rock fans – Green Day will be coming to Asia in 2020 as part of their Global, with stops in Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan.
Formed in 1986, the members of Green Day consist of lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Trรฉ Cool.
Regarded as one of the worldโs best-selling bands of all time with more than 70 million records sold worldwide and 10 billion cumulative audio and visual streams, their 1994 breakout album โDookieโ, also sold over 10 million and achieved diamond status, and is widely credited with popularising and reviving mainstream interest in punk rock, catapulting a career-long run of #1 hit singles. The band is also most known for hits like โ21 Gunsโ, โWake Me Up When September Endsโ, โBoulevard Of Broken Dreamsโ, and โAmerican Idiotโ, all four of which have had at least 100 million views on Youtube to date.

In September this year, the band released their latest single and title track โFather Of Allโฆโ which will be part of their upcoming 13th album โFather Of All Mother*******โ. Other upcoming tracks in this album include โBulletproof Backpackโ, โArt of the Deal with the Devilโ, โJunkies on a Highโ, โSugar Youthโ, and โMeet Me on the Roofโ.
Singapore will be the first stop on the new tour, which will see them performing shows in region and featuring songs from this album, slated to be released on 7 February 2020.
Then in June, the band will tour with co-headliners Weezer and Fall Out Boy – The Hella Mega Tour presented by Harley-Davidson, where they will play in Europe, the UK and North America.
