As a final peek at what’s to come for his upcoming fifth album, All Day Gentle Hold !, Porches has shared new single ‘Back3School’.
Aaron Maine aka Porches’ latest single deals with feelings of anxiety in going back to school with new single ‘Back3School’.
The track is the final single to be released ahead of his fifth album, All Day Gentle Hold !, which arrives this Friday, October 8.
Maine says,
“This song is a mystery to me, impending doom mixed with total bliss. The ‘back to school’ trope, but with an underlying anxiety that something might be terribly wrong, or maybe everything is just fine.”
The singer has shared an accompanying music video via YouTube.
All Day Gentle Hold ! is described by Maine as “the most energetic, off-the-cuff moments, collaged together into the most captivating songs [he] could make.”

Recorded by Maine in his New York home studio, the 11-track record is influenced by the musician’s teenage years of listening to pop punk and grunge from the likes of The Ramones and Nirvana.
Maine says,
“I recorded this album in my room between October 2019 and April 2021. The world was flipped and I wanted to make something injected with as much love, urgency, and lust for humanity as I possibly could.”
Porches has also announced an international tour which will kick off next year with its North American leg before heading to Europe for a string of dates including London’s Lafayette in May.
