Taeyang rose to fame with his group BIGBANG in 2006. He was the first member of the band to make a solo debut, releasing 2008’s EP Hot. It was shortly followed by “Wedding Dress” and “I Need A Girl” (ft G-Dragon), two massive hits from his debut album Solar. Taeyang’s second album Rise arrived in 2014. It is the highest peaking album by a K-pop soloist on the Billboard 200 chart, debuting at No. 112 before reaching No. 1 on both the US World Albums and Heatseekers Albums charts.
