With the passing of the late King of Thailand, many entertainment events in the Southeast Asian country were forced to cancel or postpone as Thais observe an extensive period of mourning.

Following last month’s reports, which did not specify how extensive the period would be, an official citing the Thai Prime Minister’s office announced yesterday Thailand was ready to face the music, with festive activities permitted to be held from November 14 onwards.

The nine types of activities in the announcement include concerts and festivals, sporting events, cultural fairs, and seasonal celebrations such as Loy Krathong Festival, Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Because no specific timeframe was given prior to yesterday’s restriction lift, promoters had already postponed their event to a new date, which is at least 100 days after the grief-stricken day of the royal passing. See our list of rescheduled concerts, music festivals and parties below.
