After performing the song during her Fault Line Tour, the California-based singer-songwriter has officially released ‘Hope You’re Not Happy’ via Mom+Pop Music.
Featuring soft beats and acoustic guitars, Ashe sings out “I hope you’re not happy without me” in her new anthemic breakup track.
She comments,
“Some songs are about acceptance and moving on; wishing someone the best even though you’re not together anymore. This is not that song. ‘Hope You’re Not Happy’ is about the harsh truth that us all at some point hope the person we’re no longer with is miserable without us.”
‘Hope You’re Not Happy’ follows her single ‘Another Man’s Jeans’, the first piece of muic since debut album Ashlyn.
Ashe is set to embark to the US on her recently announced Is It Me Or Is It Hot Tour, with the first date to kick off on July 7 at Milwaukee’s Turner Hall Ballroom. The tour will finish on September 22 at Fort Lauderdale.
