Following the success of their last year’s Asia tour, Cigarettes After Sex will be visiting the region again this November. The band will swing by Bangkok alongside Seoul, Tokyo, Singapore and Taipei.

We just wanna shout out a big ‘Hooray!’ for all the ambient pop fans out there! And it’a because that Cigarettes After Sex will be back in this region with 5 shows.
Confirmed this morning (Tue, Aug 28) by a Japanese independent music company Hostess Entertainment, American 4-piece artist group will be revisiting Asia this November. And their first stop for 2018 Asia Tour will be in Seoul on Monday, November 5. The show will be followed by a show in Tokyo on Tuesday, November 6.
Then, the band will make a stop at Singapore’s Neon Lights Festival on Saturday, November 10 before arriving in Bangkok for a show on Tuesday, November 13. Bangkok fans can catch them live at Moonstar Studio.
Meanwhile, Asian fans can catch their last performance for Asia in Taipei’s Dazhi Denwell. The show is slated to be on Wednesday, November 14. And here’re all the confirmed shows so far.

Formed in 2008, Cigarettes After Sex have played host to a number of different musical collaborators, working through a variety of sounds since their inception. In the spring of 2012, inspired by the Trinity Session, Cocteau Twins, Red House Painters, Mazzy Star & the sound of early ’60s records like “I Love You How You Love Me” by the Paris Sisters, they recorded their first proper EP, I., live over the course of a single night in the stairway of a four story building. Gonzalez called the experience “basically an accident; kind of an experiment”.
Live Review: Cigarettes After Sex melt Bangkok with come-hither ambient pop
After dropping the chart-toppers like “Affection” and “K” following in 2015 and 2016, respectively, the band decided to release their first studio effort with self-titled Cigarettes After Sex in 2017. The album introduces the hits like “Apocalypse”, “Each Time You Fall in Love” and “Sweet”.
Recently, the band just dropped a new single “Crush” (Listen below). Of course, the song is promised to be played for their 2018 Asia Tour.
Update (Sep 4): Brought to Bangkok by Teenage Dream Corporation. Cigarettes After Sex will be in town with a live performance on Tuesday, November 13. The band will take the stage at Moonstar Studio 8. Limited early birds will go on sale this Saturday (Sep 8). For more details, see below.
