German producer Felix Jaehn and LA-based trio Cheat Codes have dropped their collaborative new single ‘I Just Wanna’ via Universal Music. The catchy track features the vocal talent of rising Scottish pop sensation Bow Anderson.
A feel-good pop dance track from start to finish, Felix Jaehn and Cheat Codes’ ‘I Just Wanna’ features a catchy beat accompanied by shimmering vocals from Scottish singer-songwriter Bow Anderson.
The track brings out the best of each collaborators involved with its fun energy and postive vibes.
The upbeat song marks the fifth release for Felix Jaehn this year, following his string of successful summer hits including ‘SICKO’ in May and the LGTBQIA+ anthem ‘No Therapy’ in August. Both of those songs have a combined 32,000,000 plays across all streaming platforms in just half a year.
The German talent says,
“I am so happy that โI Just Wannaโ with Cheat Codes and Bow is finally out now. The boys and I have been talking about doing a collab for years and Iโm beyond excited to share what weโve been working on. This song fits so well into this cozy season and the sensual vibes feel perfect for some time together with your loved ones. Take your partner, family or friends, cuddle up and enjoy life. I hope you are feeling the love.”
For dance trio Cheat Codes, which consist of members KEVI, Trevor Dahl, and Matthew Russell, the collab track directly follows their tune ‘Washed Up’ from earlier this month.
The group says,
“Weโve wanted to make a song with Felix Jaehn since before we started Cheat Codes, so to make this happen is a really special feeling. Itโs the perfect song, and we are really happy with the way it came out. Bow sounds like a star and we canโt wait to be on the road touring our music again. We hope everyone is staying safe and are sending lots of love your way as you approach the holidays!”
Bow Anderson also adds,
“Itโs so exciting to be able to collab with Felix and Cheat Codes, being a fan when they reached out I jumped at the chance. It was a vibe vocaling the track, canโt wait for everyone to hear it and hopefully maybe one day weโll be able to perform this live.”
Her feature on the track follows her touching acoustic rework of Tears for Fears’ 1985 hit ‘Everybody Wants to Rule The World’.
