Beside the upcoming Spike Lee-directed Michael Jackson documentary Journey From Motown to Off the Wall, we’ll be getting more of the King of Pop on screen in a new road trip drama starring Joseph Fiennes, Brian Cox and Stockard Channing.

Michael Jackson is still making an impact on people even though he already left us since 2009; including American producers Spike Lee and John Branca who are inspired by “his musicianship, his genius” to make a documentary about late the pop legend. Premiering on February 5 on Showtime, the documentary will feature footages of Jackson’s performances on stage and interviews with those who knew him.

Another on-sreen narrative in the works is a dramedy movie adapted from a Vanity Fair’s report that Jackson took a road trip from New York to Ohio with actors Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando after America had to shut down in the light of the 9/11 attack. The movie will be directed by Ben Palmer and screenplay written by Neil Forsyth. British Shakespeare In Love actor Joseph Fiennes is set to play Jackson, Brian Cox will portray Brando while Stockard Channing will play Taylor.
