After two years away from the spotlight, Thai pop trio quicksand bed is making a much-awaited comeback with their new EP, After the First Wave. Packed with five tracks, the EP blends funky, disco, and electronic elements while diving into themes of love, resilience, and personal growth.

After the First Wave isn’t just an EP—it’s an experience. Inspired by a post-apocalyptic world, the songs reflect the emotional ups and downs the band has faced. Just like in a sci-fi movie where survivors rebuild after chaos, quicksand bed turns their struggles into music that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable.

At the heart of the EP is “Mr. Poseman,” a song about unspoken love and the frustration of not being able to confess your feelings. With an infectious melody and lyrics that tug at the heart, this track is bound to connect with anyone who has ever been caught in the struggle of wanting to say something—but holding back.

If you’re new to their music, quicksand bed is made up of Game Sorawit (vocals & guitar), Jason Sotangkur (vocals & bass), and Not Napamonthon (drums). They first made waves in 2021 with their album Ok, Vincent, and their hit song “Kod” (Hug) quickly became a favorite in Thailand’s indie pop scene. Now, with After the First Wave, they’re back to remind everyone why their sound stands out.
