LA-based artist SEB expresses his gratitude to the sun with new single ‘god of the sunsets’.
‘god of the sunsets’ marks SEB’s first release following his debut EP,Β IT’S OKAY, WE’RE DREAMING.
It is a love song to the sun, which SEB owes his creativity to and was used as a coping mechanism for panic attacks at a young age.
SEB says,
βThereβs something beautiful, yet so tragic about sunsets; for a short moment at the end of every day, the sky is lit up with brilliance while counting down to darkness at the same time. I try to capture that feeling whenever I write music.β
The new song serves as an introduction to the character SEB who debuted in the lyrics of IT’S OKAY, WE’RE DREAMING which establishes a connected world between his works.
The song is accompanied with a zine filled with visual art that highlights SEB’s influences as well as an interview with the artist’s mother.
The project help illustrate his varied background, as SEB was raised in Chicago after moving between New York, Haiti, Oklahoma, and Miami, before living in Los Angeles to focus on his music career.
