CHVCHES’ Love Is Dead live in Jakarta is no longer happening. The last minute cancellation was confirmed by the promoter Sonic Live Asia via its official instagram account.

It was few months ago since CHVRCHES have confirmed the performance for their Jakarta debut concert. The show would be the part of their third studio album Love Is Dead. Anyhow, there’s no further statement from the synth pop trio yet, only Sonic Live Asia announcement the show to be cancelled.

The incident happened yesterday (Jul 24) with an instagram post on the promoter’s account. Sonic Live Asia apologised to all the Glasgow outfit and stated that the cancellation was due to some unforeseen complications.

Formed in 2011, CHVRCHES consist of Doherty, Lauren Mayberry and Iain Cook. They’re best known for “The Mother We Share”, “Bury It” and “Leave A Trace”. Their third studio effort Love Is Dead, out May 25, is co-produced by sonic mastermind Greg Kurstin (Adele, Foo Fighters, Sia), making it their first release not independently produced. Currently, they are touring to promote their upcoming album. Their Jakarta debut show was supposed to be part of the schedule. However, due to some complications, they decided to cancel the show.
