In the summer of 2015 Joe Jonas recruited close musician friends, South Korean guitarist Jinjoo Lee and drummer Jack Lawless, who’ve toured with the Jonas Brothers, and bassist and keyboardist Cold Whittle, a co-founder of New York rock band Semi Precious Weapons. The stellar team settled on the name DNCE, dance without an A, because it’s “not a perfect word, but you don’t have to be a perfect dancer to dance in life. Sometimes it is never perfect, but you can still enjoy life.”

DNCE are best known for danceable numbers “Cake By the Ocean”, “Body Move” and most recently “Kissing Strangers”, featuring Nick Minaj.

Soundbox is an annual concept concert series created by Live Nation in 2015. In previous years, the multi-act show has seen pop and alternative favourites like Charlie Puth, Pentatonix, Broods, The Temper Trap and twenty one pilots perform.
