Rising alt-pop artist Beren Olivia has unveiled her debut five-track EP, Early Hours of The AM.

The record features two brand new tracks, ‘Early Hours of the AM’, from which the EP takes its name, and ‘The Way My Mama Looks At Me’, alongside three previously-released tracks that have seen the nascent pop star rack up over 5 MILLION streams in just one year and lauded as one of the UK’s brightest ones-to-watch.

Beren Olivia explains of the title track:Β

“The song Early Hours of the AM is a sad dance floor banger. It’s that moment post-break up, where you’re kind of relishing how much of a mess you are. You’ve been out with your friends, putting a brave face and a show on for social media. Then before you know it you’re at home sitting on the kitchen floor, ugly crying, eating Domino’s with your makeup running down your face.”

Beren’s bright reality is capturing the bare essence of what it is to be young and navigating those winding formative pathways and “Red Ripped Sweater” is another all too relatable heavy-hitter from the burgeoning songwriter. The 22 year old has made an impressive name for herself since coming out the gate in 2020, having independently gone from zero to 5 MILLION streams in a few singles and picking up huge support from MTV, BBC Radio 1 as well as Clash, who described Beren’s talent as β€œThe 22 year old is surging into fresh spaces…deliciously infectious”.

Amidst the highs and lows of being a teenager on the path of a career in competitive swimming – Beren was no stranger to hard work and sacrifice. There was even a developing acting career on the side. One day, however, without hesitation, this was all given up to pursue her passion in music. After inheriting a book of poetry β€˜as big as her head’, Beren fell in love with the art of emotive storytelling. Having taught herself guitar at age 13, she knew ultimately it was her calling. The seeds of this decision are now bearing fruit and Beren has since found her feet as one of the UK’s brightest young prospects.

The strength of Beren’s songwriting has seen success way beyond the norm – and her authentic relatability has gained her swathes of fans who rally around her online. Beren has seen wide support across Asia, with her Top 15 Markets based on streams including Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Hong Kong, as well as her previous singles added to rotation on 12 radio stations across Indonesia, Taiwan and Singapore.
